Proud & Pride Amsterdam Jordaan
Many cities around the world invite and welcome the LGBTQ+ community. Along with American cities like San Francisco, Miami, New York, in the middle eastern Tel Aviv, and Europe with Barcelona, Berlin and London, also Amsterdam ranks high being open minded and tolerant to love who and what you like and love.
For centuries Amsterdammers have been open towards ‘’’different’’ lifestyles, what you do is your business that many inhabitants of our Dutch capitol till this day will agree to!
After a two year pauze because of COVID-19 regulations Pride returns with this years theme; ‘’My Gender, My Pride’’ including the world famous annual Amsterdam Canal Parade returns on August 6th with over 80 boats to give a platform to the LGBTQ+ community in where the Jordaan plays also a location role particular when the parade that starts it’s route from the Oosterdok following the Nieuwe Herengracht, Amstel then passing the Prinsengracht including the Jordaan ending it’s route at the Westerdok.
As our client and supporter Michael de Vos states; I am happy to be part of the Jordaan Collection Pride campaign, This is a very important time off the year for me, cause we celebrate who we are and what we stand for.
Again it will be fantastic to watch the mostly very colorful and spectacular boats incl. load music, costumes and acts that pass by. If you already were able to find a spot on one of the bridges you are guaranteed a spectacular show!
